Suprise!

Monday, December 1st, 2008

So you’d be hard pressed to pull a swift one on our Niel.  Seems that Michelle had the knack though so we headed for some tasty Thai this week gone to celebrate Neil’s 21st (again).  Check out the slideshow.

Hi there intrepid reader of scrambledminds.com.  Yes, you know who you are.  I know you’re thinking “why has there been no well crafty, witty posts of late?”.  Well, it’s because I’m slack and I really haven’t been up to much in the last couple of months:

Fuel prices - conspiracy

So, I received this by email the other day.  I don’t know how accurate it is.  Most of it seems possible, if not likely.  Anyone know if this stuff is for real?

isync with Nokia 6120 classic

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

So everything is supposed ot be easy with a Mac.  Everything is supposed to just “work”.  Well it’s not always that case.  If you’ve ever tried to synchronise your contacts with your phone on a Mac, you’ve probably run into the fact that it aint always easy.  My phone broke recently (it didn’t just “work” either), so when I got a loaner until the new one arrived, I needed to get my contacts onto it.  I was loaned a Nokia 6120 Classic.  This solved my syncing problems.

Cinco de Mayo 2008

Monday, May 5th, 2008

No, it’s not Movember.  It’s the Abercrombies annual Cinco de Mayo fiesta.  This year saw little of Gordo teaching the girls to dance and more of stuff dangling between legs.  Check out the pics here.

scrambledminds - The Facelift

Monday, January 28th, 2008

So, apart from the odd post, you can see it’s been pretty quiet on scrambledminds for some time. Boringly so. Thanks to those that think that even when there are posts that it isn’t boring as batshit (Julie). So it’s time to get my act into gear and get some more gear up here. And I will, when I’m finished revamping the site. This involves me learning how to make it look snazzy so it may take some time!

China and Marriage

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

200709262043Not typically two terms you hear together but I thought they sounded great together. That’s why Jody and I got engaged while we were in China. Apart from Jody being quite blunt that she thought that it would happen while we away, it was a romantic affair at M on the Bund in Shanghai. So, we are to be wed.

Here’s us with the Shanghai business district views in the background.

Here’s the slideshow or the album of the pics from the trip.

7.7.07 - Live Earth - You work out the date…

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Events - 2007 Live Earth 016 So, it’s about time we had another global concert to raise awareness about something.  I don’t know what it is in Australia that’s suddenly propelled “the environment” into the mainstream but I something tells me it’s an election looming.  Cynicism aside, Live Earth is a great way to reinforce that everybody should be informed, everyone should participate, and a lot of small actions amount to a HEAP of change - so make your choice.  Every little bit helps.

Michelle’s 29th bash

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

Well, our little Shelly is pushing the envelope and decided to celebrate her last year as a 20-something with some food, booze and fun. There were people, there were presents, there were sword fights with long pieces of bamboo. A great night for all! Check out the photo’s.
